Just Breathe by NBH offers you an escape from you everyday life. It is an oasis where you can come relax when your life does not allow you the time or the resources for a vacation. Besides the benefits of reducing stress, a salt room also has been demonstrated to relieve symptoms of:

Lungs

Regular and consistent Salt Therapy can improve lung function, reduce bronchial inflammation, and reduce symptoms of allergies, asthma, and respiratory issues.

Therapeutic grade salt is aerolized and sprayed into the air. The micro particles of salt enter your lungs where they break up mucus. In addition, salt is naturally anti-microbial and anti-fungal providing natural relief to those with colds or ear infections. After a salt therapy session, you may experience a slight cough, expelling of unwanted mucus and a reduction in the inflammation of the bronchioles in your lungs which will help relieve your symptoms. Salt therapy can be a wonderful benefit to traditional medicine.

Skin

Regular and consistent Salt Therapy can improve the elasticity of the skin and may improve many skin conditions giving you a more youthful glow.

While you enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the salt room and the healing properties of breathing in the salt, your skin also benefits. Particles of salt will land on your skin and improve the itching and inflammation from psoriasis or eczema. At the same time, the salt therapy has anti-aging properties that will keep your skin looking healthy and beautiful by stimulating the skin’s micro circulation and balancing it’s pH.

History of Salt Therapy

Salt has been used for its healing conditions for 100’s of years. Monks in Eastern Europe would bring patients with breathing ailments into the salt caves so that they could breathe in the therapeutic salt. A physician in Eastern, Dr. Bochkovsky, first noticed that miners that worked in salt mines were not only healthier but did not experience tuberculosis like other types of miners did. A contemporary of his went on to open salt clinics in the salt mines of Wielicza, Poland. People would come from far and wide to experience the healing properties of salt.

Today, you don’t need to travel to Poland for similar benefits. With the invention of the halogenerator, salt is pulverized into micro particles and sprayed into a room where you can sit and relax while benefitting from breathing in these particles or having them land on your skin. Salt is anti-microbial, anti-fungal and very absorbent. People have experienced relief from symptoms of allergies, asthma, COPD and other respiratory issues with consistent exposure to salt. In addition, it has been shown to provide anti-itching and be anti-inflammatory for people who suffer from psoriasis or eczema.
